For more than two decades, James J. Puplava, President and Founder, has directed PFS Group toward one paramount goal: to provide the highest level of sound investment advice available.
In 1985 Jim Puplava left a successful career at a large money management firm to establish his own investment/money management firm, Puplava Financial Services, Inc (PFS), a registered investment advisor. His plan was to offer a more personal approach to providing investment solutions to his clientele.
A big believer that "the educated investor is a wise investor," Jim Puplava pioneered financial seminars in the early '80s in San Diego County. Although Jim no longer gives public seminars, his clients benefit from his widely-attended, annual Client Only Meeting. In 1987 Jim debuted Financial Sense® Talkradio in San Diego, taking calls from listeners wanting advice about how to handle their financial challenges. A decade later, he brought his writing and his radio show to a worldwide audience through our free educational website, Financial Sense Online (FSO) in 1997.
In 1996, believing that his brokerage clients deserved a wider range of investment opportunities as well as better trade execution and service, Jim founded Puplava Securities, Inc (PSI), member FINRA/SIPC, an independent broker/dealer offering full brokerage services through National Financial Services LLC, a Fidelity Investments Company. In 2009, Jim expanded the services offered through PSI to include bullion and coin purchase, sale, and storage services.
Today PFS Group provides financial services to over 850 clients with over $360 million in client assets, of which over $290 million are fee-based managed accounts under Puplava Financial Services, Inc.* A staff of 10 committed individuals contribute to the team effort in providing excellent advice and service.
